Climate Change is Happening, Now
In the late 1980s the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Program created the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to evaluate the risk of widespread climate modification triggered by human activity. The impetus for IPCC formation was the scientific speculation that human-induced transformation of the composition of the atmosphere primarily caused by fossil fuel burning could increase the risk of rapid climate change.
